New Studio

We have spent the last 6 months renovating the house including building a new studio and organizing it.  It is wonderful not to be constantly moving stacks of paintings, frames, and other painting materials in order to find space to work.  There is a storage area, a framing area, a moveable worktable, a painting area and a jewelry area where I can make my contemporary silver jewelry.
I am loving every minute of being there.Lou , my husband, built everything with some "help" if you want to call it that, from me.   (I did all the polyurethaning and painting and helped with the sawing and holding things in place.

This shows the bookcases and  easel area on the left with the jewelry workroom and bench in the very back, the moveable worktable and stainless steel table in the front and, behind it, the framing workbench.
This is the storage wall with frame and canvas storage on the left, paper storage rack on the right , print cradle, and rolling art cart storage in the front.

This is the view standing in front of the storage wall and looking at the easel area between the rolling workbench on the left and the framing and mounting area on the right.
Now I guess I have to get to work and do more painting.

New Name/ New Blog

Starting a new blog today with a new name and some new work.  Have directed viewers from my old blog (Barb Ebaugh's Art Blog) to this new one.   I am excited to have a wonderful new studio to work in courtesy of my new husband.  We share part of it since he is a photographer and uses the dry mount machine and framing area.   Will post pictures soon.
Have recently gotten back to painting more regularly and am excited to try some new techniques I have seen on videos.  Will also post pictures on Facebook under Barbara DeUgarte.
See you soon with new pictures.
